Volunteer Senior Captain Jeff Cole

It is with deep regret that the Lebanon Fire District announces the passing of long time Volunteer Senior Captain Jeff Cole. Jeff was involved in a 4-wheeler accident in Florence, Oregon, on August 6^th of this year and passed away from complications related to that accident on December 3^rd, with his family at his side. He was 51 years old. Jeff joined the District as a volunteer in August of 1976 and was from his first day one of our most active, hard working and dedicated members. Jeff was very instrumental in the training of many of the area volunteers for basic firefighter and apparatus operators. Any events that the district held, Jeff was always there and very active in the set-up and running of the events. Jeff served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the District for almost 20 years. He will truly be missed as a great individual, father, friend and firefighter.

A fire service memorial was held in Jeff's honor on December 11^th at 1430 hours at the Lebanon Chapel, 2900 S. Main St., Lebanon.
